Hey There

Hi I am Gina Stark CEO and Founder of Stark Impact Consulting.  Thank you for this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself and my firm. I appreciate you taking the time to learn about us.

Over my many years working in economic development I interviewed and hired many consultants and when I started my own firm I wanted mine to be different on many levels.  I wanted to take my many years of practical and boots on the ground experience and put it to use helping others.  At Stark Impact it is our philosophy that economic development is an ecosystem and at the heart of it is the community and stakeholder.   They are critical in informing us of where we need to go next and without their voices we truly don't know where we are going. That is why at the heart of the work that we do is community engagement and advocacy. She  has  been advocating and engaging communities since  before graduating  from Western Washington University and continued long after she got her Masters degree in Public Policy with and emphasis in community engagement at the UW Evans School. Always striving  for a strong and stainable economy to build a strong community for all.

I have a unique perspective on our state's economy in having lived in the most rural areas of Washington State both on the east and west side, as well as the urban areas of King County. This gives me a deep understanding of  the complexities and economic needs of these regions.

I started my career working for the State Legislature and then the State Treasurer office for a combined tenure of 16 years.  During my years I acquired a deep knowledge of our legislative process, what it takes to develop, pass and implement critical policies that impacts our state's economy.  I have also worked at the local level with County and city councils working on comprehensive plans, local ordinances, much more.

Over the years I have been successful in being awarded several million in grants for a variety of projects.  I have project managed multimillion broadband construction projects. I have had the honor of being a founding member of ground breaking initiatives that have served to empower and uplift communities including Bank on Washington and the Whatcom County Race Equity Commission to name a few.  

 

Having worked with some many different businesses and organizations across the state I saw and heard the need for help to assist in completing critical projects, write grants, help in community engagement and to help with resources.

We are a local company that knows local communities and are committed to work with local organizations and businesses to build a strong and sustainable economy for all of Washington communities.  Positively impacting communities through economic development!
